What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)?
A set of techniques to make content mentionable, indexable and reproducible by Large Language Models. It complements traditional SEO: while SEO targets SERP rankings, GEO targets direct extraction and mentions in generative answers.
Which AI engines does the plugin work with?
Anthropic (Claude Sonnet/Opus), OpenAI (GPT-4o / GPT-4o-mini), Google Gemini 2.5 Flash, Mistral Large, Kimi (Moonshot). The tool-use schema is written in Anthropic-native format and translated for each provider.
What do I need to get started?
WordPress 6.4+, PHP 8.1+. That's it. The free plugin (Innova GEO AI Indexer) is free forever on WordPress.org — no credit card, no signup.
What's the difference between the free plugin and Pro?
The free plugin (WP.org) includes 5 core GEO fields, multi-stack JSON-LD, llms.txt and single-field BYOK AI generation — it covers the essentials. Pro (geocite22.com/pro) adds 9 advanced fields, one-click multi-field generation, page builder support (Elementor/Divi), frontend field output, custom post types and priority support. Is the free plugin really free?
Yes, forever. No trial, no expiration, distributed on WordPress.org. It includes every essential GEO feature (5 fields, JSON-LD, llms.txt) and BYOK single-field AI generation — you bring your own provider API key.
How does Pro's BYOK model work?
BYOK = Bring Your Own Key: you configure your AI provider API keys (Anthropic / OpenAI / Google / Mistral / Kimi) directly in the plugin Settings and pay the providers directly. geocite22.com does not proxy AI calls: the Pro license unlocks plugin features, not a credit allowance.
Are my contents logged?
No — AI calls from the plugin (free or Pro) go directly to the AI provider you chose with your own API key. They don't pass through geocite22.com. Pro's Debug toggle records technical logs only locally on your WP, exportable as JSON from the Support page.
What happens if the Pro license expires?
The advanced features (9 extra fields, multi-field generation, page builder support, frontend output) gracefully deactivate. The 5 core fields, JSON-LD and llms.txt keep working as in the free plugin — you don't lose data and you don't need to uninstall anything. There's a 3-day grace period after expiration to avoid accidental interruptions.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Monthly license: cancel any time and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Yearly license: 30-day no-questions-asked refund if you change your mind. No exit fees, no lock-in.
Is the plugin compatible with WooCommerce / multisite / multilingual setups?
Yes for multisite (the site count applies to the total installs). WooCommerce and multilingual (WPML, Polylang) supported: GEO fields are attached to the post, not the type, so they work on any custom post type — in Pro you can granularly choose which fields to show for each type.
Can I export my data? Can I delete my account?
Yes. From the customer area you can export licenses, invoices and application logs. Account deletion: soft-delete with 30-day retention for possible Stripe disputes, then hard-delete (GDPR compliant).
